HPSC Tuesdays: an evening of medical expertise and discussion for healthcare professionals

A new edition under the banner of sharing and innovation

Hôpital Privé Sud Corse, in support of Doctor Pedinielli's initiative, has once again confirmed its commitment to continuing education and medical dialogue through a particularly rich edition of the «Mardis de l'HPSC». Held on Tuesday 5 May 2026, this now unmissable event brought together nearly 50 healthcare professionals for a series of lectures given by leading practitioners.

In an atmosphere that was both studious and convivial, doctors, specialists and local players were able to discuss current medical issues, share their experiences in the field and discover the latest advances in various disciplines.

High-level medical interventions

The evening was punctuated by a number of speeches by HPSC experts, each of whom shed light on major health issues.

Management of rectal cancer

Dr Piera opened this year's event with a talk on the management of rectal cancer. The conference addressed therapeutic developments, care pathways and the importance of coordinated care between specialists.

Dysmetabolic hepatic steatosis: a public health issue

Dr Ville then gave a talk on dysmetabolic fatty liver disease, a fast-growing pathology linked in particular to metabolic disorders and modern lifestyles.

This presentation was an opportunity to raise awareness among the professionals present of the issues involved in screening, risk factors and the prevention strategies to be implemented to improve patient care.

Bariatric surgery: why, how and what are the limits?

Dr Cucchi continued the evening with a much-anticipated presentation on bariatric surgery. Why have this surgery? What benefits can be expected? What are the eligibility criteria and limitations? All these questions were addressed with clarity and precision. The conference underlined the importance of multidisciplinary support before, during and after the operation to ensure lasting results for patients.

Surgical techniques in digestive surgery

Finally, Dr Cesari closed this edition by presenting the evolution of surgical techniques in digestive surgery through his experience at the HPSC between 2023 and 2026. The presentation highlighted technological innovations, new surgical practices and the benefits observed for patients in terms of recovery, safety and quality of care.

A not-to-be-missed event for healthcare professionals

In addition to the lectures, the evening's events illustrated the determination of Hôpital Privé Sud Corse to support Dr Pedinielli's initiative by creating opportunities for exchanges between professionals. The discussions that followed the speeches provided an opportunity to extend the reflections, compare practices and strengthen the links between the various healthcare players in the region.

With almost 50 participants in attendance, this year's event confirms the growing interest in «HPSC Tuesdays», which are now recognised as a real highlight of local medical life.

HPSC, a committed player in the regional medical dynamic

Through these regular meetings, Hôpital Privé Sud Corse pursues a clear objective: to promote the dissemination of medical knowledge, encourage innovation and strengthen cooperation between professionals. This dynamic is fully in line with the hospital's mission: to offer excellent, humane and forward-looking medicine. The «Mardis de l'HPSC» will therefore continue to support this shared ambition: to make the transmission of knowledge and the sharing of experience levers in the service of patients and the region.
